Camila Lau
Visionary Strategist
Internationally Certified STEM Trainer
Camila was brought up as a STEM kid, despite there wasn’t any formal and structured STEM education at that time. Being a STEM kid, it was proven to be second nature for her to adapt, grasp the key points and provided solutions in many different scenarios which has always made her the spearhead management for any new business opportunity or new business development and problem solving throughout her career journey. This is the advantage of being a STEM kid that get kids for their life ready.
Her decision to start up science centre is because of her children, mainly – due to one of her children was diagnosed with dyslexia. Camila could not find a suitable learning place that can help her child except responses asking her to accept whom he is. She then decides to help her son by way of how she was being brought up. Throughout these years, there is no doubt that her children was inevitably able to adapt and find new ways to absorb information on their own terms.
With the reform of STEAM Discovery Space, Camila wishes to continue her efforts in pioneering an renew education system and evolutionary teaching methods, with aim to help all types of children whether they are ordinary or extra-ordinary by providing them an enriching discovery learning experience with room to freely explore and to appreciate the inner talents.
